Autumn Winter 16/17
Story about 7II
Chapter one - Beanie
Once upon a time, there were two girls who felt in love with knitting.
The story begins with a very cold winter, when they decided to give a little glimpse of warmth to each other. After a lot of thought they understood the best present would be the warm-hearted beanie with a pom-pom. Both started to knit a very special gift and they were doing it secretly from each other. One of them knitted orange beanie with white pom-pom on top and named it “Carrot Cake” and another girl made olive beanie and decorated it with semi-precious stones and named it “Green Tea”.
Girls were very surprised and amazed when they unwrapped the gifts and realized that they came up with similar ideas for the present. Following, they decided to warm the girls around the world with their beanies.
Chapter two – Scarf & Poncho
The following winter turned out to be even colder than the last one. Beanies were not enough to get through the frostiest weather. Girls have produced scarves and ponchos that made their bodies not only warm but also playful with tassels, pom-poms and pearls. Inventor hearts warmed up when they saw girls around the world wearing their creations.
Chapter Three - Mittens
The next winter brought a lot of snowy days…
Girl One: - Hey, look out of the window.
Girl Two: - OH! It’s magical. Let’s get our 7II gear on and play in the snow.
Girl One: We should make the biggest snowman in the block.
Girl Two: Agree, but we don’t have any mittens and our hands will freeze.
This was the day when mittens were added to 7II family.
Chapter Four – “Bag”
When winter went away and the spring was blooming knitting season seemed to be over, but not for the girls. They thought it would be great to make knitted bags for summer season, for those who love sun, beach and holidays. They worked on the idea of combining knit with Plexiglas and came up with unusual concept that allowed them to create different shapes for bags. The long never lasting coastlines inspired them, so they named their designs after famous beaches. Some of these bags were easily transformed for other seasons.
Chapter Five – Keychain
One of the girls was constantly looking for her keys and the other one was so thoughtful that she came up with the keychain idea. After that no keys were lost.
Chapter Six - “& others”
Unstoppable and imaginative mind helped girls to create as much original knitted accessories as possible. Other additions to 7II family were neckwarmers and turtleneck collars.
Lastly, the story is about friendship and what comes out of it.
This partnership was bonded by yarn and tested by time.
